Studio Phone Systems

Studio Phone Systems

Whilst the modern studio has many ways of connecting to listeners, the only way the listeners can truly be a part of the experience is for them to 'be' in your show.

Whether you just need the occasional telephone interview or lively debates with several callers at once, we have a solution to meet your needs.

What type of phone system?

The type of phone calls you want to handle on your studio will dictate type of equipment you need.
We can help you to select the option that you think will suit you best.
Traditional Analogue Line In To Studio
Traditional TBU
This is the traditional way that phone lines are handled in studios. A single analogue landline is used in the studio and a piece of equipment called a Telephone Balance Unit (TBU) is used to interface between the phone line and your mixing desk. TBU's work with traditional phone lines but if you have a digital phone exchange or SIP system, we can provide converters (called Gateways) to make it work.

This option is great if you just need to take the occasional call or telephone interview but can get expensive and complex for multiple line setups.
Multi-Line Call Handling System
Multi Line Call Handling System
If you require the ability to deal with multiple phone lines and to be able to screen and manage the calls then you need a call handling system. Most call handling systems are SIP based which means instead of lots of analogue phone lines, they use digital lines usually routed through your web connection. But don't worry, we can supply converters to switch analogue lines to SIP if required.

This option is best if you have 'call in shows', phone debates or you just want a cost effective method of enabling phone-in in multiple studios.
