AEQ Forum Lite Digital Mixing Console

Split Configurations Digital Mixing Console

The AEQ Forum Lite digital mixing console combines the core mix engine from the Capitol mixer range with the flexible fader modules from the Forum mixer range to provide a cost effective, split configuration console that can be built around your station needs.

The Capitol Core Engine provides a wide range of analogue and digital I/O's in a compact, silent running 2u chassis. In addition to the built in I/O, the engine can also be expanded with a 16 stereo channel (in & out) Dante AoIP interface as well as dual digital TBU and redundant power supplies. You can also opt for the Virtual Capitol software module to add full remote control to your mixing console.

The Forum Control and Fader Modules provide you with the option to select 4, 8 or 12 faders plus the control module, arranged however you like to suit your station. Each Fader Module can be 'sunk' into suitable furniture either individually or paired with other fader modules or the control module. This allows you to configure the layout of your mixing console anyway you like.

Forum Fader & Control Modules

The Forum Lite uses the Fader and Control Modules from the Forum IP to provide a fully configurable layout for the Forum Lite.

Forum 4 x Fader Module

The 4 x Fader Module from the Forum digital console provides a high quality interface for controlling the digital mixing features of the Forum Lite. Each module features four individual channels that can be assigned to audio sources either via pre-defined 'snapshots' or manually using the mini-screen interface on the Control Module. Each Fader Module is 'daisy chained' to the Capitol Core Engine via CAT6 network cabling.

Key features include:

  • 4 x Audio Bus assignment buttons.
  • Selection button to enable channel editing on Control Module.
  • Mini OLED screen to display source assignment.
  • Cue button to listen 'pre-fader'.
  • On-Air lamp per channel.
  • High quality audio fader.
  • Channel on and off buttons.

You can connect up to three Fader Modules to a Capitol Core Engine giving you up to 12 faders.

Forum Control Module

The Forum Control module features all the elements you need to control your mixing console and by moving many of the options to the screen driven menu, this allows the faders to remain simple and uncluttered!

Key features include:

  • Twin LED Bar VU's (PGM & Cue busses)
  • 20 x Programmable User Buttons that can trigger snapshot changes, audio routing macros or external events via virtual or physical I/O.
  • Information Screen & Controls. Use the menu driven screen to configure or adjust your console settings (includes user security).
  • Monitoring section, control monitor and headphone volume for you and your guests.
  • Talkback to guest headphones / monitors or optional dual TBU module.
