AEQ Capitol IP Digital Consoles

One Console - Three Configurations

AEQ Capitol IP Family

AEQ Capitol IP

The CAPITOL IP is an 8  or 12 channel digital mixing console specifically designed to meet the most rigorous demands of the radio industry. Its flexible design allows it to be readily adapted to any ON-AIR application.

The control surface has been redesigned with new silent buttons, more programmable keys and a new arrangement of the monitoring section controls. IP connectivity in Capitol IP console is implemented through the optional upgraded Dante AoIP module with 32 input and 32 output channels incorporated in its core.

The CAPITOL IP is powered by a 2u rack mounted 'mix engine' which incorporates all the audio and data connections. The engine is operated via the counter sunk control surface which is available with 8 or 12 fader channels. A tabletop version of the control surface is also available (8 fader channels only).

Capitol IP Control Surface

CAPITOL IP Control Surface
Faders
  • 8 or 12 Fully assignable faders including OLED screen legend (to tell you what is assigned). 12 fader version also available.
  • 2 x Assignable output busses per fader
  • Dynamic processing available on each fader
  • Automatic preview mode in Myriad 5 when faders are closed
User Buttons
The Capitol IP control surface has twenty user definable buttons which can be programmed to output hardware, load profiles or trigger 'salvos' which consist of a list of actions or setting changes. You can also configure the Capitol IP to directly trigger Favourites in Myriad 5 Playout using the User buttons thanks to Myriads built in support for the Capitol IP.

Meters
The Capitol IP has built in LED bar meters on the control surface. You can also have screen based meters using the optional Screen Software.
Control
Fader source assignment, profile management and dynamic processing is all controlled by the central control section which includes a large OLED screen, four 'soft' buttons and three selection knobs. The control section is menu based and can be used to control or configure most aspects of the Capitol IP.

Monitoring
The Monitoring section allows you to control source and volume for studio and control speakers and headphones as well as talkback to other Capitol IP consoles in your station. Speaker and headphone outputs are dedicated and included as standard on the mix engine so you will not be using up outputs just to be able to hear what you are broadcasting!

Tabletop or Counter Sunk
The Capitol IP is available as a standard tabletop control surface or as a counter sunk unit that can be 'sunk' into woodwork for a clean, modern look. The desktop unit can be converted to flush mount but of you want to flush mount the Capitol IP, you can order it without the desktop chassis and save a little money.

The Capitol IP 12 (12 channel version ) is only available in counter sunk configuration.

Capitol IP Mix Engine

The same Core Mix Engine is used for all three variants of the Capitol IP. So the following specification are applicable to the Capitol IP CS, TT and Capitol IP 12 CS.
Capitol IP Mix Engine
