D&R Webstation Broadcast Mixer

D&R Webstation

The Webstation is a small mixer from Dutch manufacturer D&R, which is ideally suited to small scale radio studios for production simple 'on air' use. Despite it's tiny footprint, the Webstation packs a lot of advanced features that make it perfect for small scale broadcasters.

The Webstation features two microphone / line channels plus three additional USB/Line channels. The USB/Line channels appear on a host PC as soundcard devices making the mixer ideal for playout systems including Myriad Playout. In addition, there is also a dedicated VoIP/CleanFeed channel which is either used for VoIP applications (such as Skype) or in conjunction with a traditional telephone hybrid for connecting to a phone line (we can supply the hybrid separately).

Another exciting feature of the Webstation is the 12 programmable 'user buttons' which can be used to trigger external events or control software. These can be used to trigger Favourites within Myriad 5 Playout.

Finally, the Webstation's meter software interface removes the need for old fashioned level meters. The included software displays main and cue volume level as well as microphone channel status, fader state and a handy clock.

The Webstation is a great option for anyone looking for great features in a tiny package and an attractive price.

What we think

"The Webstation is an exciting addition to the D&R range and is very much a mixer designed for the modern world. It is easier than ever to launch your own 'bedroom' radio station and the Webstation has been designed with this type of broadcaster in mind. Strong features such as the built in USB and VoIP combined with the screen based information & meter screen mean you can achieve a lot with the Webstation without needing to invest in a lot of additional equipment."
